Privacy Policy
Effective date: August 29, 2026
IndieSheet is a searchable directory for independent products. This policy explains what information we collect when you browse the site, sign in, or submit a product.
Information we collect
Account information. When you choose Google sign-in, we receive the basic profile information Google shares with us, such as your name, email address, profile image, and Google account identifier.
Submission information. If you submit a product, we collect the product URL and the details you review and confirm, such as its name, description, category, pricing, maker name, and any public image or metadata we import from the URL.
Technical information. We use a session cookie to keep you signed in while you review a submission. We may also receive ordinary technical information needed to operate and protect the service.
Privacy-light product analytics. For live listings, we record only aggregate daily product-page views and outbound website clicks. A page view is sent after the page hydrates and is deduplicated in your browser for that product and day; we do not store IP addresses, user agents, referrers, visitor identifiers, email addresses, or URL query values. These totals are visible only to the maker accounts attributed to that product.
Public maker profiles
When you save a maker profile, you choose a public name, handle, optional bio, social links, and whether to display your Google photo. These details become public when a product attribution or maker claim is approved. Your email address and Google account identifier are never included in public profiles. Claim evidence stays private to reviewers; do not include passwords or private documents. You can edit your public details in My profile.
How we use information
We use this information to authenticate you, connect you to your submissions, import public product details, review and publish approved listings, operate and secure IndieSheet, and respond to support requests.
When you submit a product, your submission also subscribes your account email to occasional IndieSheet maker updates, product news, improvements, and offers. This is disclosed beside the submission action. Google sign-in by itself does not subscribe you. Every marketing message will provide a way to unsubscribe, and unsubscribing will not remove or affect your product listing.
Google sign-in
IndieSheet uses Google’s OpenID Connect sign-in flow and requests only the openid, email, and profile scopes. We do not request access to your Google Drive, contacts, mail, or other Google content.
Sharing
We use Cloudflare to host the application and store its database and submitted media. Google processes sign-in through its own services. An approved product listing and the information you choose to publish are visible to visitors; your private draft is not published before review. We do not sell personal information.
Retention and security
We keep account and submission information for as long as it is needed to operate the directory, maintain the review history, and protect the service. Sessions expire automatically. We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security.
Your choices
You can stop using the service at any time. To ask about, correct, or delete information associated with your account or submission, contact us at venkatsolobuilder@gmail.com.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the service changes. We will post the revised version on this page and update the effective date.
